So here's a fun story.

Once upon a time a brother and sister went on a bike ride to their favorite park.
They played on the swings, went to the stream where the younger brother tried to chase his sister with a giant frog (and she screamed her head off, even though the said sister is 10 years his senior), and other typical walk-through-the-park activities like slides and monkey bars.
(for the record it is probably best not to do this if you are 20 yrs old and start to receive wary glances from other parents. just saying.)

So then it's getting late and they start to head home.

AND THEN

SUDDENLY

OUT OF NOWHERE

A GIANT GERMAN SHEPPARD BREAKS OFF HIS CHAIN AND ATTACKS THE YOUNGER BROTHER!



in a burst of adrenaline the older sister leaps off her bike! and charges towards the dog! but the owner is already chasing it away!

but the dog tries to come back and attack again!

The older sister astutely flails her arms like a deranged flight attendant and screams at the dog to "STAY AWAY!!!"
(It worked)

Then she yells to her brother to "PEDAL AS FAST AS YOU CAN BACK HOME!"

So after a trip to the emergency room, RICE (rest, ice, compress, elevate!), and a few tears later...
They decided not to take that route again.

...and the wounds look pretty bad.
